A somatologist is a specialist in skin care and body care, massage and makeup. Beauty therapists are able to plan, apply and market face, body, feet and hand treatments and makeup. They can also provide professional advice on exercise and fitness regimes and formulate diet and nutritional support.
As a caring profession, beauty therapy requires a personality, which is naturally warm and sympathetic. As a scientifically based profession, it also demands the most comprehensive and professional training.Download College Brochure
To inspire students to discover, develop and design their future
To be the best boutique somatology training facility in South Africa, providing the students with quality training, spa experience and exposure to all sides of the spa industry. Sanguine College needs to expand to more classrooms whilst maintaining the high standard and unique layout of classrooms. Student accommodation must be combined to add to the student experience for the duration of studies. We want computerised systems for the students to work with supplementary applications to assist in studies.
Sanguine College is accredited internationally with ITEC and CIDESCO and with SAAHSP in South Africa. We are also registered with QCTO and services SETA.
This means you will receive highly regarded qualifications of the health and beauty industry both nationally and internationally.
The minimum requirements for full-time studies are a grade 12 certificate. A subject choice that includes biology will be helpful.
The possible careers are endless:
Our students are being trained to become the best in the industry. We have very high standards when it comes to educating them. To help them gain real-life experience, we have client days through out the year. This is when our students do treatments on clients at reduced prices.
